Daniel Maya trained at the Bridge Theatre Training Company, he did training for Stage and Screen at the Actor’s Cafe, and trained for three years at the Stagecoach Performing Arts school.

 

He has acted and sung extensively in competitions, musicals (notably My Fair Lady and Les Miserables) and in pantomime (Goldilocks and The Three Bears with Chaplins Pantos and The Little Mermaid at the Colour House Theatre).

 

He performed 'Love I Hear' from A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum at the Criterion Theatre and performed a songbook of fairytale songs at the Colour House. 

 

He has performed at the Criterion Theatre in Love and Money and Private Lives, and the Cockpit Theatre in The Winter's Tale and The Cherry Orchard.

 

Key screen performances include Jay in J’s Life (screened at the British Museum) and Colin in Romanian feature film Petru Romania (screened at festivals).

 

When not performing, he enjoys delivering drama workshops, creative writing, reading and racket sports.
