Emma studied Music at Exeter University before qualifying as a teacher and becoming Head of Performing Arts at Clyst Vale Community College.

Although much of Emma’s time is spent as Director, Musical Director and Choreographer of shows such as Les Misérables SE, Sweeney Todd, Our House, Into the Woods and Legally Blonde for the talented students of Clyst Vale, she has also played a variety of different roles in local theatres.

These include Mrs Lovett (Sweeney Todd), Rose Vibert (Aspects of Love), Paulette (Legally Blonde), Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls) and Witch (Into the Woods).

Emma is drawn to new writing, character roles and the chance to use her piano and flute playing skills on stage, therefore she is absolutely thrilled to be involved with Little Ships where she gets to indulge in all of them!
